Great read (and site). Thanks for the link. Is that book available to purchase around Dublin? I had done a post looking at Denmark recently in advance of their general election in September. RGA won a record amount of seats and the Socialist People’s Party suffered a big hit. Now the precarious balancing act begins! I understand they are supporting the Danish centre-left government from the outside, who just signed up to the new euro-treaty. I’m sure they didn’t expect such a big challenge so soon.
Denmark holding the EU presidency from January(what little that means) will need to pass the treaty by relying on some of the right opposition for votes. If it goes to referendum and the RGA’s “No” side is victorious, there is a good chance it would trigger a snap election and probably the return of the right. Interesting times ahead.
