“Staggering Range of Jeffrey Epstein’s Social Network – A self-help group for the 0.01 per cent”

leave a comment »

The Financial Times has published a very thorough and well-researched summary of Jeffrey Epstein’s activities.

Concerning the campist leftist Noam Chomsky See also :

Sometimes a table can tell a whole story. Against a wall in Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse, an antique console table boasted more than a dozen framed photographs, including some of the world’s most recognisable people. There is a Democratic president and a Republican president, a leftwing intellectual and a rightwing activist firebrand. There are figures from Wall Street, from Silicon Valley and from the British royal family. The pictures even include Mick Jagger, Fidel Castro and Pope John Paul II.

While the core of the Epstein saga will always be his web of sexual abusers and the women and girls they preyed on, every new set of messages released by the US justice department reveals the staggering range of his social network and the relationships he was able to sustain. Epstein’s emails read like a self-help group for the 0.01 per cent. How did a college dropout from a working-class family in Brooklyn manage to do it?

“Don’t you dare call Epstein a paedophile” – Feared Irish lawyer from Belfast, Paul Tweed, threatened media on behalf of the late convicted criminal Jeffrey Epstein

with one comment

Individuals operating within the network created by the late Jeffrey Epstein hired numerous people who threatened media organisations which were investigating a vast child abuse and financial corruption racket. One such individual was the Belfast Lawyer Paul Tweed (see below, a devastating story written by the Belfast Telegraph’s Sam McBride).

Jeffrey Epstein became a convicted criminal in 2008.

Noam Chomsky, Left Icon, Crashes – “What Chomsky’s Friendship With Jeffrey Epstein Says About Progressive Politics”

with one comment

A left icon crashes. Chris Zeller reports

“He Should have Crashed a Lot Earlier”

I take this opportunity to recommend this excellent article from Kavita Krishnan which she published in early December. (see below).

Noam Chomsky could afford terrible statements about the systematic mass murders and genocidal wars in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda and Syria. Even during the Russian mass terror against the Ukrainian people, he raised more understanding of the aggressor than the attacked population.

His support for Epstein reveals the same pattern. The Indian feminist Marxist Kavita Krishnan puts his behaviour into the broader context.

This email from Chomsky to Epstein proves that he wasn’t just giving his friend the benefit of doubt, not knowing the full nature and extent of his crimes. He was actively colluding with Epstein, strategising about how to deal with the revelations about those crimes in the press.

It’s not that Chomsky was incapable of empathy – he was, but he had empathy only for the unfortunate predator, victimised by a journalist who was nuisance enough to put faces and voices to a gaggle of female accusers generating a ‘hysteria’ of solidarity.

What Chomsky calls ‘horrible’ treatment of Epstein by the press, was the November 2018 piece in the Miami Herald, ‘Perversion of Justice’ – Julie Brown’s stellar investigative journalism exposing the secret deal struck a decade ago that betrayed scores of children trafficked and abused by him, who had found the courage to help police build a cast iron case.

This email must go on his tombstone, it must feature in every obituary when he passes, it is not just a stain on his political legacy, it IS integral to his legacy. His collusion with Epstein is a result of the same abstract geopolitical doctrine that passed for his politics, one that allowed him to deny the humanity of victims of horrific mass crimes against humanity – in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda, Syria, Ukraine, China.

(Edited the post for accuracy, people pointed out he was calling his accusers hysterical, not the girls. He does use hysteria again, to refer to the public response to accusations of abuse of women.)

Senator George Mitchell’s Links to Convicted Criminals Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein – Belfast University Removes a Bust

leave a comment »

Organisations linked to former USA Senator George Mitchell are removing the man’s name from their projects :

US-IRELAND ALLIANCE TO REMOVE NAME OF SENATOR GEORGE J. MITCHELL FROM ITS PRESTIGIOUS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

February 1, 2026. The board of directors of the US-Ireland Alliance has unanimously agreed that its George J. Michell Scholarship program should no longer bear the former Senator’s name. The decision was made due to new information that has come to light as part of the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein by the Department of Justice on Friday, according to Trina Vargo, founder and president of the US-Ireland Alliance.

A bust of Mitchell on the grounds of Queen’s University Belfast is gone – from February 2 2026.

Credible accusations detailing Mitchell’s alleged Epstein links have been on the public record for more than four years – but the former Senator’s Irish establishment supporters took no action.

“Venezuela – Ordinary Imperialism” – A Ukrainian Comrade Denys Pilash warns : “Fears about a global deal between two imperialisms: “you leave us the Western Hemisphere, we leave you Ukraine.” And China gets in on the act

The Dublin government is doing normal campist hypocrisy : Currently the Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin is visiting China. Expect no mention of the Beijing régime’s well-documented human rights abuses in the Xinjiang province and persecution of the Uyghur minority – China’s boss Xi Jinping will not tolerate that kind of talk :

Link :
China Syria and the Uyghurs

“Another piece of information related to the Xinjiang issue concerns the dissemination of confidential documents that would prove Xi Jinping’s direct involvement in the repression of the Uyghurs. These are three internal speeches given in 2014 during a visit to the region immediately after the attack on Kunming railway station in which Xi called for a campaign of “heavy and rapid strikes” and demanded the creation of a climate of constant pressure. These instructions already hinted at the elements that would subsequently shape the system of internment camps, forced labour and linguistic assimilation programmes, with the aim of eliminating religious practices and cultural identities considered threats to national security.”

The head of the Dublin government is saying nothing about ongoing repression of trade union activists in Hong Kong. Not a dicky-bird from Micheál about the Chinese régimes’s threatening build-up of its military forces in the South China Sea.

Here is a flavour of the Leinster House “Official Version” : Business Before Principles :

“In Shanghai, the Taoiseach will meet the city’s mayor Gong Zheng and visit Irish and Chinese companies in the country’s commercial capital. He has planned meetings with representatives from the financial services, tourism and food and beverage sectors, among others.

“In Beijing, there will be a particular focus on further and higher education – an important area with a lot of potential for both partners, and where co-operation will yield longer-term dividends in terms of research and innovation, and people-to-people links,” he said.

The Taoiseach will meet representatives from 12 Irish third-level colleges that offer full-time degree and diploma courses with Chinese higher education partners. Typically, these offer qualifications that are recognised in both Ireland and China, with courses based on those in Irish colleges.

Last month, the Sunday Times Ireland edition reported that the Irish Military Intelligence Service was concerned about security risks associated with academic links to China. But the Taoiseach later suggested that a more sophisticated approach to China’s strategic ambitions was required.

“I do accept the intelligence that’s across Europe and UK recently but on the other hand, China has never initiated, in modern times, a war. I had a very interesting, pretty careful discussion with the Singaporean Prime Minister on that. We should do more to understand the Chinese psyche and approach, and the more longer term sort of scenario, strategic thinking,” he told The Journal.” – Irish Times January 5 2026.

Venezuela – Ordinary Imperialism

Denys Pilash, from Ukraine, offers us a very useful article based on principles which need to be universal across the left :
Ukraine – Venezuela – Palestine – Occupation Is A Crime.

Washington’s scarecrow, catching up with its Kremlin counterpart, has conducted its own special military aberration [1]. Moreover, whilst boasting about this latest step towards what it calls the “noble peace prize” [2] and asserting its “Donroe Doctrine” [3], it makes no attempt to conceal that this is all for the sake of tasty oil and that it could not care less about the consequences of regional destabilisation. [4]

“Charlie Kirk Was An Anti-Ukraine, Pro-Putin Apologist” – Terrell Jermaine Starr

Many thanks to the European Network for Solidarity With Ukraine (ENSU), which advertised a new article by Terrell Jermaine Starr, who is an interesting writer and activist.

Charlie Kirk was an Anti-Ukraine Pro-Putin Apologist

Charlie Kirk wasn’t only a racist, he was a reliable pro-Putin talking head who repeatedly spread disinformation about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In my latest Substack piece, I explain why his white nationalism was so useful for Russian propaganda. #ukrainianview

Terrell Jermaine Starr (@terrelljstarr.bsky.social) 2025-09-15T21:05:08.004Z

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s military has raped hundreds of women (that are documented but like its many more), kidnapped tens of thousands of Ukrainian children, killed thousands of civilians in cities far from the frontlines, internally displaced millions, and forced millions more to flee their homeland into Europe and other countries during his invasion of Ukraine, which is now approaching its fourth year.

Documentation of war crimes were clearly established in the first few months of the war. But you wont’ know these details is you listened to Charlie Kirk’s statements about Putin and Ukraine.

In February 2023, Kirk said that Putin “has shown and demonstrated some extraordinary restraint” through all of this. Really? Living in Ukraine through nightly air strikes on civilians, I don’t see the restraint.

Few MAGA voices carried Putin’s water more effectively than Kirk. In the same broadcast on his show, he called Putin a “thug” the U.S. should oppose, but also described him as a “soft ally within the broader global picture.”

Long before the full-scale invasion, Kirk spread Russian talking points about Ukraine. In 2019, he tweeted, “Barack Obama asked Ukraine to investigate his political rival’s campaign manager, 3 Democrat senators asked Ukraine to investigate Trump, and the DNC solicited Ukraine’s help to dig up dirt on Trump, and the media was silent about all of it.”

Of course, this was a lie.

Who’s who in Jeffrey Epstein’s birthday book – and a key question : “The government went after Epstein and Maxwell and then stopped – Epstein and Maxwell Could Not Have Acted Alone”

leave a comment »

Lord Peter Mandelson is no longer the British Ambassador to Donald Trump’s White House. Information in the public arena concerning Mandelson’s connections to convicted child abuse criminal Jeffrey Epstein forced London’s government to dump the Labour party “prince of darkness”.

The late Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were both convicted of serious child abuse crimes. But we must not overlook the key issue :

David Boies, the attorney for hundreds of women who were victims of the Maxwell-Epstein crime ring, explains very clearly :

“The government went after Epstein and Maxwell and then stopped – Epstein and Maxwell Could Not Have Acted Alone”

“The government went after Epstein and maxwell and then stopped”; “Epstein and Maxwell could not have acted alone”

No credible allegations have been made to date that Mandelson, and several other high profile friends of Epstein and Maxwell, were criminal abusers. Mandelson and others – such as US President Donald Trump, former US President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton – are in a position to disclose everything they know about Epstein and Maxwell’s huge social circle, and assist David Boies and several hundred women in bringing Maxwell and Epstein’s criminal associates to justice.

Trump-Putin Anti-Ukraine Summit in Anchorage Alaska – Large People-Power Protests

leave a comment »

This report sets the scene :

Ukrainian refugees in Alaska have mixed feelings about US and Russian leaders’ meeting

Amy MacKinnon, Anchorage Alaska, Financial Times, August 15 2025

“On Thursday afternoon, hundreds of local residents rallied in support of Ukraine at an intersection of Anchorage’s East Northern Lights Boulevard, waving the country’s blue and yellow flag. A small brass band played Bella Ciao, the Italian folk song adopted by the anti-fascist resistance during the second world war. Passing cars honked their horns. “They are trying to make decisions, agreements, without Ukraine being involved,” said Anna Koraa, who moved to the US from Ukraine in 2019. Her mother, Olena Lazar, left Zaporizhzhia — one of the four Ukrainian regions Moscow claims, but does not fully occupy — and came to Alaska shortly after the war began. Lazar is deeply sceptical about Friday’s talks. “He won’t stop until he takes all of Ukraine,” she said of the Russian leader.”

Polls: Trump’s approval rates at 100 days slump – Everywhere, including Ukraine and the USA

with one comment

Opinion poll numbers are very bad for the rapist-gangster US President Donald Trump. Details below come from Ukraine and Trump’s homeland, the USA.

Nearly 90% of Ukrainians do not trust Donald Trump, who is now marking his first 100 days as President of the United States.

Source :
100 Days of Trump and 90% of Ukrainians

Each year, the New Europe Center commissions an opinion poll. As part of the tradition, we ask Ukrainians how much they trust various foreign leaders.

Although Trump had not yet been inaugurated at the time of the last opinion poll, the New Europe Center still asked respondents for their opinion about him. The result was fairly optimistic — last year, nearly half (44.6%) of Ukrainians expressed trust in the new American leader.

Some might have considered this level of trust too low. However, compared to other European countries, the Ukrainian assessment was actually quite high. A few months before our opinion poll, the Pew Research Center found that only 16% of people in France trusted Trump, 30% in the UK, and the highest support came from Hungary, at 37%.

This relatively high score in Ukraine was seen as a reflection of general disappointment with the hesitant policy of Joe Biden’s administration toward supporting Ukraine, as well as hopes for peace based on the promises made by the newly elected president.
